Second semester alternative at one of our credit awarding universities

Each year, a number of students will get the unique opportunity to spend their second semester at one of the prestigious universities listed below. We call it the Study Abroad experience.

There is no extra tuition fees for the Study Abroad experience, however, students must expect to cover some extra expenses. 

Information about the number of seats at each university, requirements and application procedure will be provided after course start in Aarhus. This means, that applicants will not be asked to refer to the Study Abroad opportunity within the application for admission process.

About UC's Faculty of Communications

Universidad Católica de Chile is a public university of international quality and is at the top of the Chilean university system with regard to teaching, research, creation and outreach. The mission of UC's Faculty of Communications is to teach and research a wide range of areas related to media and communications and to encourage the understanding and development of new forms of communication. Students focus on journalism practices and media systems in Chile and other parts of South America, gaining knowledge about developments in the field of social communications from a Latin American perspective within an increasing globalised world.

About UHH's Institute for Journalism and Mass Communication Studies 

The Journalism and Mass Communication Studies at UHH was founded in 1990, and its focus is to provide a stimulating environment for research, scholarship and teaching. The department has a strong focus on research especially in regards to studying public communication and current changes, with a special focus on the role of journalism in society. They offer students an in-depth discussion of concepts and empirical findings in the field of mass communication and a solid understanding of the methods of social scientific research. This knowledge allows students to analyse data and statistics and to evaluate professional opinions.

About UCT's Centre for Film and Media Studies

Established in 2004, the Centre for Film and Media Studies at the University of Cape Town offers a range of courses that equip graduates with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to embark on a career in the film and media industry. Many of the CFMS's alumni have found entry level posts in the media, film, and television industries as well as in advertising, marketing, and education. The CFMS offers the opportunity for creativity, intellectual engagement, and practical training, while cultivating the passion and commitment of its students.

About Fudan University's School of Journalism

The School of Journalism at Fudan University was founded in 1988 and is known as the cradle of Chinese journalists. It is closely linked to the Chinese media industry, and alumni have played a significant role across the country as leading figures in the media industry. As the first higher education institution in China to commit to journalism, Fudan Journalism School currently consists of four departments including the Department of Journalism, Broadcasting, Advertising, and Communications with 81 faculty members and 1500 students.
