Graduate with a world-leading degree

Above: Some of our graduates celebrating their new master's degree.

After completion of the two-year master’s programme, you will be awarded a unique Joint Degree Certificate*.

The title of the degree is "Master of Arts (MA) in Journalism, Media and Globalisation".

Aarhus University and your specialisation university are both award-issuing institutions of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree. Hence, the certificates are signed by both universities involved.

The Master's degree 'package' includes:

  • A MA certificate
  • A transcript of records
  • A Diploma Supplement

The Diploma Supplement is a document which facilitates academic and professional recognition of qualifications across Europe. It provides a description of the nature, level, context, content and status of your studies.

You will receive your Master's degree 'package' at a Graduation Ceremony organised by your specialisation university.

* Due to German legislation, students graduating from the 'Cultures and Contexts' specialisation, will be awarded a double-degree and receive one Master's degree certificate from Aarhus University and one from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.

Studying in three different academic cultures and traditions of journalism and media research was invaluable. The best of the Mundus Journalism experience is getting a top-notch international degree that opens paths that would not have been open otherwise.
