You can apply for admission to the Mundus Journalism programme without having graduated from your Bachelor's programme, yet. However, you will need to document that you hold a BA-degree no later than by the 1st of August 2024.
The call for applications is open each year from the 1st of November until the 10th of January. You will be informed by the 1st of March, whether you have been selected for admission, or not, and whether you will be offered admission as a scholarship student, or as a self-funded student.
The Mundus Journalism Consortium receives between 400 and 500 applications each year and accepts up to 80-90 students. Our students represent almost every continent and region of the world, as can be seen from the map below which shows the home countries of all our students (marked in blue).
For the 2024-2026 program, we anticipate that all prospective candidates will qualify for an Erasmus+ stipend of up to €6,000, offering invaluable financial support for your educational journey. Moreover, the Mundus Journalism Consortium extends its support to four exceptional applicants with a special scholarship worth €10,000, further enhancing the opportunities available. What's more, students who receive the Mundus Journalism Consortium scholarship can still apply for and receive an additional Erasmus+ stipend.
But our benefits go beyond financial assistance. As a Mundus Journalism student, you'll enjoy the peace of mind of having both health care and civil liability insurance fully covered throughout the two-year program. After graduation, you'll be well-prepared for a successful career in any journalism-related field worldwide. You'll also benefit from the unique advantage of being eligible for a work visa in both Denmark and the country where you completed your second-year studies.
