Kathi Frick on the future of journalism

Katharina Frick, alumna of the Hamburg specialism, is one of five young journalists from around the world who has been commissioned to write about the future of journalism in the quarterly magazine Index on Censorship. The London-based global organisation advocates for freedom of expression.

Kathi's piece is part of series called Re-writing the future. It features five young journalists talking about their hopes and fears for the profession – from Yemen, India, South Africa, Germany and the Czech Republic. First published offline, the article in Index on Censorship 18, 2014 is now available for download.

Kathi is recent Mundusian graduate and wrote her MA thesis on "Hyperlocal Media in Hamburg - Interrogating Journalistic and Financial Models". She has started freelancing in Hamburg and runs a journalism news page on sustainability issues www.sustainyourfuture.com together with Irene Broer, also a Mundus Journalism alumni.
