Alumnus co-edits new Companion to Digital Journalism Studies

The new book features 58 essays, including several from Mundus Journalism staff and alumni - and is co-edited by a graduate of the Hamburg specialisation.

Assistant Professor Scott Eldridge II, co-editor of the The Routledge Companion to Digital Journalism Studies

Congratulations are in order to Dr Scott Eldridge II, alumnus of the 2007-2009 cohort and now Assistant Professor at University of Groningen, who has co-edited the The Routledge Companion to Digital Journalism Studies.

The book has recently gone to print and is available for order now. It is described as offering "a first set of answers" to the fundamental questions of digital journalism enquiry over the past several years, as the news landscape has changed with the rise of the internet.

"This collection is the very first of its kind to attempt to distinguish this emerging field as a unique area of academic inquiry." - Routledge

In addition to Scott's editing and his chapter about the boundaries of digital journalism, it features essays from many Mundusians including:

  • Board of Studies Chair, Associate Professor Henrik Bødker
  • Former London specialisation coordinator, Professor Neil Thurman
  • Hamburg specialisation lecturers Dr Wiebke Loosen and Dr Jan-Hinrik Schmidt
  • Hamburg specialisation lecturer, Professor Uwe Hasebrink
  • Alumnus Aljosha Karim Schapals

Congratulations to all of those involved!
