Mundus journalists launch global news podcast

In the Planet Mundus podcast, international current affairs are discussed and analysed by a team of young reporters from around the world.

Planet Mundus, a podcast series produced by a team of international journalists, is now available for download on iTunes and other podcast managers.

Covering topical issues from Hong Kong’s umbrella revolution to Nigeria’s latest election, the online platform provides in-depth interviews that are dedicated to “minimising distance and increasing understanding among people in this world”.

The aim is to present a unique commentary on international current affairs that is missing from mainstream media.

The podcasts range in length from 10 minutes to an hour, and each is produced by Aarhus-based Mundus Journalism students.

The team of journalists hails from five continents, and each reporter brings their country- or region-specific expertise to the global topics they discuss.

As well as current affairs, the site features reports on areas of geo-political interest - the latest multimedia piece details a trip to Cuba by Ole Krogsgaard.

Regular comedic input is also provided by Jan Willems, who rounds off most of the podcasts with his take on each issue.

Tune in on the Planet Mundus website to listen, or find and download the podcasts in the iTunes store or other podcast apps by searching ‘Planet Mundus’.

The team can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.
