As well as the Mundus Journalism Alumni Network, students have the opportunity to join the Erasmus Mundus Students and Alumni Association (EMA). Launched in the Spring of 2005, the EMA is a joint initiative of the European Commission and student representatives from all Erasmus Mundus programmes. The association is free to join for Erasmus Mundus students. You can register at the EMA website and get instant access to an online student forum, a newsletter and a database of students and former students.
The Mundus Journalism programme has been linked to the EMA in various ways. In May 2014 students from the 2013-2015 cohort created a Mundus United football team and travelled to Berlin to compete in an international university football competition. Their team was open to all EMA alumni to join and, as such, was an opportunity for networking between all post-graduate students on Erasmus Mundus programmes across Europe.
