Former Mundus students Tame Twitter

Former Erasmus Mundus students Frederik Fischer and Torsten Mueller have developed a new way to navigate Twitter.

Former Erasmus Mundus students Frederik Fischer and Torsten Mueller have developed a new way to navigate Twitter.

Their Berlin-based tech start-up Tazeldoo has recently launched Tame, the first context search engine for the social platform.

“Twitter’s full potential is yet to exploit. Neither does the network offer sufficient search options, nor is it possible to find the most relevant content and accounts in the never ending stream of information,” writes Fischer, Tazeldoo’s CEO.

Tame, described by users as “the Swiss army knife for twitter,” turns the information flow into ranked lists consisting of the top ten hashtags, tweeps and links from the last 24 hours.

The goal of Tame, which was designed by a mixed team of journalists and developers, is to provide journalists, politicians and marketing experts with a useful tool to scan and engage within the digital public sphere.
