Accreditation
The Mundus Journalism MA Journalism, Media and Globalisation was part of a pilot project run by the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) which sought to clarify if it is possible for several Quality Assurance agencies to cooperate on one single accreditation procedure of a joint programme and to develop recommendations on the outline of such a procedure.
Although only two of the partner universities in the consortium applied for the quality seal, all partners took part in the accreditation process.
University of Amsterdam and University of Hamburg were accredited in 2010:
The Mundus Journalism program at the University of Amsterdam was accredited by the NVAO, the Dutch Flemish Accreditation Agency in June 2010. The NVAO is the official agency in the Netherlands and Flanders to certify that a program meets the quality criteria as formulated by the Dutch and Flemish government.
The Mundus Journalism program in Hamburg was accredited by the ZEvA, the Central Accreditation Agency of the Federal State of Lower Saxony, in July 2010. The ZEvA is one of the official agencies in Germany to certify that a program fulfils the national German quality standards set by the German Conference of the Ministers of Education.
